Located in the city’s central “Cerciz Topulli” Square, and just beneath the majestic Argiro Castle, Hotel “Cajupi” stands as the largest accommodation structure in the area, offering all modern amenities. The hotel features a comprehensive range of services, including:

From the hotel, you can take a short walk to explore the city’s characteristic bazaars, souvenir shops, and all its major cultural attractions, including the Municipality, Prefecture, and Tourist Office.
Even today, locals of Gjirokastër and visitors from other Albanian towns fondly refer to Hotel “Cajupi” as “The Tourism of Gjirokastër.” Built during the communist regime in 1964, the hotel originally served the few foreigners visiting Gjirokastër, as well as political figures, writers, and artists of the era.
After undergoing a complete reconstruction in 2010, the hotel now features modern amenities and has become one of the largest and most renowned accommodation providers in the city.

Pastry Shop
Located on the ground floor of the hotel, our pastry shop opens onto “Cerciz Topulli” Square, offering guests the chance to savor the area’s most characteristic desserts. We take pride in preserving the hotel’s rich pastry tradition, built over the years through the dedication of great chefs like Mr. Bilica.
Signature treats such as “oshafi” and the Tourism famous “zupat” continue to delight guests with the authentic flavors of Gjirokastër, prepared today using the same original recipes and high-quality ingredients as in past years.
Restaurant “Cajupi”
Renowned for its traditional regional dishes, Restaurant “Cajupi” is dedicated to preserving the esteemed reputation it has earned over the years. From the days of Chef Kico Kamberi to Mrs. Vito, our chefs have worked tirelessly to uphold this culinary legacy. We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner not only to hotel guests but also to locals and visitors of Gjirokastër. Every meal is crafted with pride and authenticity.
Tourism’s Terrace
Once a cozy haven for the citizens of Gjirokastër, especially during the summer months, the Tourism Terrace has been newly renovated and expanded to accommodate up to 300 people. It now serves as a vibrant space for dining, pastries, coffee, and hosting various events, continuing its tradition as a beloved oasis of enjoyment.
